At the Primrose School of Stone Oak, we believe that who children are is as important as what they know. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly organized School Director to lead our thriving preschool community of up to 175 children and 160 families. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a private preschool setting known for its excellence, warmth, and commitment to quality early childhood education.

About Us:
We are proud to be accredited by both Texas Rising Star (4-Star) and Cognia, and we offer a well-regarded private Pre-K program. Our school serves children as young as six weeks old in our infant classrooms, and we provide care and education all the way through private full-day Pre-K. We also offer an afterschool program for school-age children and a fun, engaging summer camp experience. As a year-round school, we provide consistent care and learning for families throughout every season.

As part of the national Primrose Schools system, we deliver the trusted Balanced Learning® curriculum that nurtures curiosity, builds character, and lays the foundation for lifelong learning.

  • Monitor and ensure operational excellence and health/safety compliance

  • Create, implement, and enforce school-wide policies and procedures

  • Partner with families to support children’s growth and success

  • Collaborate with owners and the leadership team to meet enrollment, staffing, and quality goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field

  • Prior early childhood leadership experience (Preschool Director, Assistant Director, or similar)

  • Knowledge of Texas childcare licensing standards

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make thoughtful decisions

  • Warm, collaborative leadership style with a firm commitment to excellence

Why Join Us:
